As an antithesis to the geometric abstraction and the european line of Abstract Expressionism, the concept of Tachism and Informel has established its own style, especially in Germany since the beginning of the 1950s. In the exhibited works, the spontaneous, sometimes performative painting gesture is in the foreground.
