The transition from analog to digital in art was initially fluid: Starting with geometric abstraction, a few artists and computer scientists with exclusive access to computers began experimenting artistically with the new digital possibilities in the early 1960s. The collection brings together works by pioneers and younger artists we know personally who dedicated themselves to digital art very early on.
