From 1971 to 1976, the artist group “Lücke” formed around A.R. Penck outside the usual artistic career path in the GDR and sought to make a name for itself as a band and through collaborative artistic works. However, the all-male group disbanded after five years. We are exhibiting individual works by four of the five members from the artist group.
